Kids Discover: Making Learning Fun

Joe Zeff Design is excited to announce that Volumes 1 through 5 of Kids Discover are now available in the iTunes App Store, packed with interactivity that makes science and social studies fun for children of all ages.

The newest releases are standalone apps about Galaxies, Antarctica, Washington, D.C., Cells and Extreme Weather. Galaxies is available free; the others are $2.99. And we're hard at work on more volumes, each designed and developed using Adobe Digital Publishing Suite to combine text, photos, video, animations, interactive 3D models, quizzes and activities into one seamless multimedia experience.

Our new promotional video shows how Kids Discover outshines other educational apps. Have a look:

Talking New Media describes Kids Discover as "a fantastic new iPad app" that "educates and entertains at the same time." That's precisely what Ted Levine, Director of Digital Development at Kids Discover, had in mind when commissioning Joe Zeff Design to reimagine his company's print magazines as multimedia apps.

"We recognized a need among parents and teachers for highly-interactive educational apps that can get kids excited about reading" Levine said. "So we developed a product that would take advantage of the tactile properties native to iPad while retaining a strong focus on reading and learning."

Other reviewers have been positive as well. Apps Playground complimented "the design style of these apps: neat tiled index pages, lots of big images and text in friendly bite-sized chunks." AppAdvice called the free Kids Discover Galaxies app one of "Today's Best Apps."

Collect them all, and look forward to many more volumes of Kids Discover!
